Where does the time go?

Today, it did snow for some of the day but not as much as predicted.  The snow mostly came around 1 for about ten minutes.  The temperatures were warmer as well.  Most of the day was partly cloudy with  bursts of sun shine.
This is also very strange experiencing rain one day and then the next day it snows.

O Rainy days

Todays weather fixated on the a great deal of precipitation.  Rained a good amount of the day and was quite foggy.  The low pressure area from the South was pushed North into our area and pushed the moisture as well.  The forecast for tomorrow could be very cold with a chance of flurries throughout the day.

Friday Fish Fry with a side of tartar

The weather has taken a turn into a more cloudy sky almost completely covered.  AccuWeather states that it is 100% cloud cover but where I am it is a little patchy in some areas.  The clouds and the lower barometric pressure could mean some precipitation tomorrow or the next day.

This current conditions are brought to you by AccuWeather.com!

Temperature: 39 degrees F
Wind: 0 mph
Real Feel: 49 degrees F
Dew point: 20 degrees F.
Cloud Cover:  100%
Precipitation: none today
Barometric Pressure: 30.32 in.

The low pressure area to the West  of us is what we want to watch out for.  That would be where any precipitation would come from if we got some.  The wind and jet stream would perpetuate this precipitation.  For today the weather should be calm and warmer temperatures.

This would bring that low pressure area to the EC area.  However, it is not the strongest low pressure area so the rain could be very minimal.

Curent surface winds from Hint.fm.  This map varies from AccuWeather in that the current surface winds are blowing from the South which could heighten our chances for precipitation

The water vapor in the atmosphere is also not that significant to the West of us which also diminishes the precipiation that we could get.  If we got a strong South wind we could get some rain from the low pressure are to the South of us.  But there is a slim chance of that.

Hip hop peter cotton tail!

There are rumors about rain on Easter and the patterns do not show too much rain in the future.  Although rain would be nice to melt and clean some of the roads and sidewalks off. As I was walking to class today There were very little clouds and the sky was sunny.

This current conditions are brought to you by AccuWeather.com!

Temperature: 42 degrees F
Wind: 6 mph from the West

Barometric Pressure: 30.32 in. and decreasing

High pressure area showing little rain.  The low pressure area in the South with the warm front could bring the rain that many people are expecting.  If it accumulates and gathers the necessary moisture we could see a great deal of rain.

Is that sunshine I see?

The weather has made a drastic turn and the sun was shining for a majority of the day!  The sky was partially cloudy with some humorous clouds blowing in from the West.  This day was great later when the skies.

The high pressure area i still in our area and that means no precipitation anytime soon.

There is little moisture in the area and the jet stream is stretching horizontally across the U.S.  Nothing to exciting anytime soon

Too early for shorts?

The weather today has been similar to the rest of the days in the high pressure system.  It was a little warmer today with the temperature feeling in the low 30s.  I wore shorts today and it was not that bad.  With the little wind and higher temps it felt like the beginning of spring...finally.  My post yesterday was accurate.

This current conditions are brought to you by AccuWeather.com!

Barometric Pressure: 30.26 in. and increasing slowly

The weather is very boring and stagnent.  Hopefully, the weather will get more interesting in the coming days.   By the looks of the jet stream nothing interesting should happen soon.

50th post...landmark!

This is the 50th post I must be doing something right.  The weather recently has not been too interesting in our area.  My last post showed little or no snow and I was correct...it did not snow whoo!

The news in North America is that there is a large high pressure area in Canada and this system is going to force cold air mass down into the continental Unite States.  There will be a warmer air mass that is forced to the northern portions of Canada.

This image from AccuWeather.com show the high pressure are and its impacts on our weather.

The wind map strengthens the cold front moving in from the North with the image above.  This will bring cooler temperatures and most likely little precipitation

This shows the high pressure area that is surrounding our area and brings less chance for precipitation.

America land of the...

Some chance of snow tonight or tomorrow morning.  The weather has been pretty nice the last few days nothing too exciting has happened some cold spurts of wind and very few clouds.

This current conditions are brought to you by AccuWeather.com!

Temperature: 28 degrees F
Wind: 16 mph from the North
Real Feel: 12 degrees F
Dew point: 19 degrees F.
Cloud Cover:  100%
Precipitation: none today
Barometric Pressure: 29.98 in. and decreasing

There is a chance of snow with the drop in the barometric pressure.  However, if sno does come it will not amount to much.  The wind is coming from the North, therefore the moisture that is in the clouds will go to the South of us and will most likely feed the low pressure area near Columbia.

The low pressure area is moving

whooo bo ganya!

The weather has been relatively stagnant in the past two days.  Simply cool and some breeze.  Some spotty clouds here and there could be the beginning of the storm process but with the current wind coming from the North not too likely.  Just some cooler temps likely for a few days.

Jet stream is relatively straight across therefore the temps are relative to latitude.

All quiet on the Cold Front

The sky is clear and that means its cold their is no blanket to keep everyone warm.  The heat is radiating away from the earth's surface.

Low pressure area is the trough once again in the jet stream.  The strong winds blowing from the North West should bring cooler temperatures for awhile.

All this snow and no time to play

Snow snow snow!

The storm is right over us as well as the low pressure area.  As I am posting this the snow stopped in my location and I am thinking that the storm will continue over night and perhaps some snow tomorrow. With total accumulation around 5- 7 inches.   The large amount of moisture to the South of us could bring more snow tomorrow.

Very nice surface data map from intellicast.com

Kris Kringle is upon us...

With the low pressure area seems to be coming in and there is also a strong wind coming from the east. The chance of a strong storm is highly likely.  And with the moisture in the area our area could get a good amount of snow.

Ah... who are you!

Yesterdays weather was pretty intense!  A good amount of snow fell in the Eau Claire area.  The weather today cleared up and the sky is clear and sunny.  I did not think we would get as much snow as we ended up getting.  The snow was unbelievable.  Well today we have no worries.  The high pressure area is right over the top of us and no bad weather should happen today.  I am going to have to be careful with what I say. The weather has completely switched on very little notice.  There are no guarantees with the weather just trends that happen and trends can turn on a dime.

Opulent sky!

Today the weather was pretty darn good!  We had a very sunny day and just a few clouds in the sky.  This was the start of the pattern for the a storm.  The low pressure area is moving toward us which could bring us a good amount of snow.  I believe the majority of the snowfall will not reach Eau Claire until mid-afternoon.

This current conditions are brought to you by AccuWeather.com!

Temperature: 30 degrees F
Wind: 5 mph from the South West
Real Feel: 29 degrees F
Dew point: 24 degrees F.
Cloud Cover:  60%
Precipitation:  had a little
Barometric Pressure: 30.07 in.

The jet stream will cause the cold front and low pressure area to go right over us and this could turn into a light snow and the afternoon should bring the heavy dose of the snow.

The jet stream coming from the North will also bring cooler temperatures to our area.

The water vapor that is to the west has a good chance of precipitation tomorrow.

slipped my mind...

Hey yesterday was a busy day for me.   Therefore, I forgot to post about the weather.  The day yesterday was unique with a few flurries during the noon hour and then sunny skies the rest of the day.

This current conditions are brought to you by AccuWeather.com!

Temperature: 18 degrees F
Wind: 6 mph from the North West
Real Feel: 18 degrees F
Dew point: 4 degrees F.
Cloud Cover:  0%
Precipitation:  0  inches of snow
Barometric Pressure: 30.33 in.

The heat signature over the nation shows little moisture in our area.  As well as the high pressure area drives the cloud cover away.   Therefore, for the next few days will be calm and little if no snow.

The current wind is very low and no cloud cover in our area and no precipitation.  the Rocky Mountains are acting as a barrier to the stagnant front.

The jet stream will bring some cooler temperatures to our area from the continental polar air mass.

Licked by the Weather!

The weather turned into a doozy of a snow storm.  Eau Claire received a good amount of snow and it was pretty heavy.

This current conditions are brought to you by AccuWeather.com!

Temperature: 28 degrees F
Wind: 10 mph from the North West
Real Feel: 18 degrees F
Dew point: 22 degrees F.
Cloud Cover:  100%
Precipitation:  6 to 7  inches of snow
Barometric Pressure: 29.71

The jet stream shows that cooler air in our area and not too likely that extreme weather will occur.

However, with the low front to the West of us the possibility of a storm is approaching.

Right now the only large quantity of moisture is on the East coast.  So as of now I do not believe that a storm will occur in the near future.
