On the Horizon

The big news for today is the possibility for a large storm heading to our area.  This storm was mentioned in my previous blog entry.  The low pressure area that was on the west coast is moving toward us and is following the upper air data at the 500 mb level.

This current conditions are brought to you by AccuWeather.com!

Temperature: 42 degrees F
Wind: 5 mph from the North East
Real Feel: 43 degrees F
Dew point: 36 degrees F.
Cloud Cover:  100%
Precipitation: none
Barometric Pressure: 29.85 in.

The low pressure area is heading directly toward the Eau Claire area.  And the storm could follow the stagnant front.  That is to the South of Wisconsin and the low pressure area.

This is an image of the upper air data at the 500 mb level and the low pressure area could follow the streaks of air that are flowing at the level.

This is an image of the moisture associated with the storm that is approaching and how much potential it holds.  By the looks of it there is a great deal of moisture and precipitation that could result by this storm.

This jet stream shows the large trough which is associated with the low pressure area.
